3 Steps to Loving Your Body
1. Focus on health and feeling well.
Instead of obsessing with how you look and obtaining a skinny body, rather focus on being healthy and feeling well. Focus on what makes you feel good.
This will help you view diet and exercise differently. Rather than looking at diet and exercise as a way of punishment, look at diet and exercise as something wonderful you do for yourself
2. Be positive and be grateful.
Try not to waste your time, energy and emotions on negative thoughts about your body. Rather focus on the good things you like. Instead of fixating on not having lost those last five kilos yet, or not fitting into an old dress again, rather make list of your accomplishments and what you are grateful for. Try doing this on a daily basis.
3. Love yourself first.
This is hard for mum’s to grasp, but what they say is true; love yourself before someone else can.
By getting rid of negative thoughts, and consciously acknowledging your efforts and achievements, you will be able to love yourself. Once you begin to treat yourself with the respect and care that you deserve, the habits needed for physical transformation and the benefits they offer, will develop naturally.
