Holiday Festive Weight Loss Tips

Here are some simple tips to help you survive the festivities:

Tip 1

Don’t focus on trying to lose weight over the festive season. With celebrations, social activity, time with family and friends, and all the special foods that go with Christmas. Trying to lose weight will be a challenge. Instead of focusing on trying to lose weight, your focus should be to maintain your weight.

Tip 2

Avoid going to a function hungry and don’t skip meals. Before leaving for a party, eat a light snack like a handful of nuts or a tub of yoghurt, to curb your appetite. Being properly hydrated will also, so drinking a glass of water or two, before you go out. This way you will be less tempted to over-indulge.

Tip 3

Plan time for exercise. This time of year is usually a very busy time for all of us. But, we all know that exercise helps relieve stress and prevent weight gain. Continuing to exercise during the festive season, can help offset increased holiday eating, and help us maintain our weight.
