Positive Psychology

Everything we do has the same end goal. Whether we are looking for family harmony, better relationships, improved friendships, or greater satisfaction at work, the end goal is usually the same — greater happiness. Having a positive psychology endeavours us to thrive and flourish.

Here are three positive psychology habits to follow, for greater happiness:

1. Focus on Strengths: Too often we focus on the negatives. “What’s wrong with me and how can I fix it?” Instead of focusing this negativity, we should be engaging our strengths.

2. Express Gratitude: Rather than yearning for what we do not have, we do more good for our wellbeing by expressing gratitude and acknowledging what we do have.

3. Forgive Yourself: We are often too hard on ourselves. It is okay to mess up. Forgiving ourselves for our flaws can help us embrace who we really are.

Practicing these points focuses on positive emotions and our personal strengths, rather than our peronsal weaknesses
Using positive psychology can be a great way to improve our mental wellbeing.
