HIIT Training

We have all been there. Sweating it out at the gym for hours on the treadmill. Weeks pass, yet we still look the same. Nothing has changed! What if we told you, you could cut your workout time in half, and you are guaranteed results?

It’s called High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT), and here at The Yummy Mummy Club we advocate for HIIT training and invite you to join us for the challenge.

How does it work?

With HIIT training, you vary the pace or the intensity of an exercise. You push yourself to the limit for a timed interval and then you drop back to a more comfortable pace for a timed interval. This drives your heart rate up, but giving you recovery between sets. This cycle is then repeated.

HIIT is not designed for you to spend hours training, rather you are encouraged to go as hard and use as much energy as you can for a short period of time.

You know you are doing it right if your heart rate is at least 80% of its maximum resting rate. HIIT training will take you outside your comfort zone. You should NOT be able to hold a conversation with the other Yummy Mummy’s around you!

High intensity workouts burn more calories. By driving your metabolism into overdrive, you will burn more calories for longer, and more efficiently, even after you complete your workout. HIIT training is time effective, and we know your time is precious.
